The Munchkin cat breed are small to medium size cats with have ton of energy. They may have short legs but have a lot of speed and enjoy playing interactive games with their owners. They are confident and out going cats and love the home environment. They are best suited for a household who has someone at home the main part of the day as they love human contact.

The Munchkin is just like any other cat in respect to looks however they have one key feature that makes them different and that is their short legs, they can also have either very long coats or very short. Image result for munchkin kitten

Like most cat breed the Munchkin like routine and are not fond of when the routine changes. They also like to be fed at the same time everyday and don’t like it when furniture is moved it can cause the cat stress. They are very active, energetic and intelligent cats and love human contact. Munchkins normally form a strong bond with their owner and have being left for long periods of time this can make them quite a demanding breed.

These cat can also be very affectionate and love human contact and are good around children but it is advised that they are supervised when interacting with cat and that it has an escape if need be.

Munchkin Cat

The average life span of a Munchkin is 12 to 14 years, this when they are kept in the best environment possible. However sometime the cat can suffer from some spinal issues and this can be seen from a young age.

The Munchkin breed needs to be groom on a regular basis if their coat is short then the grooming will be lower maintenance than the ones with longer coats.
