These are my own views and opinions on movies I like! This isn’t everyone’s favourite movies, these are some of my all time favourite movies I’ve watched the past few years! Hope you enjoy it and would like to watch some! Also some Spoilers!
Number 3: There’s Something About Mary! (1998)
There’s something about Mary is about a man by the name of Ted who fell in love with a woman called Mary when he was younger, however she moved and Ted had no idea where she was, but he manages to find out and tries to meet her after so long! This movie for me was brilliant! The characters were amazing, and I could understand them easier than other movies. The directors, by the look of it, wanted the characters to have meaning and in-depth monologue. For example, at the start of the movie we learned Mary was dating someone known as Woogie, no one saw him and near the end they reviled the character, and everything came together! The character development is incredible and the movie itself is funny! They did an amazing job when putting this movie together! In my opinion, they should have made it, so Mary found out some stuff on her own instead of listing to the other characters! But overall the movie was fantastic. 8/10 from me! Number 2: The Greatest Showman! (2017)
The Greatest Showman was inspired by the imagination of P.T Barnum! The films show us what the world was like, some people were normal, and some were weird. Everyone would treat the weird ones differently because there different and the reason why this movie was so special, is because at the end of the film it shows that no one is perfect! Character development is key to every movie and the greatest showman is no exception! We really connect with the characters with this film and understand the struggle early on for some of them! The songs were amazing and made us all think twice. Come alive was my personal favourite song! The movies meaning is to show everyone that no one is perfect, it doesn’t matter what you look like or how you act. This is an amazing message from a movie! This movie also celebrates the birth of show business! It’s worth a watch and a listen! The song is incredible, the acting is amazing, and Hugh Jackman surprised me with how well he could sing! I would give this movie a 7/10 as well! Trailer below!
Number 1: Creed! (2016)
Creed takes me back to my childhood! Back to the creation of all the Rocky movies! Rocky was one of my favourite characters growing up, I loved all the Rocky movies and after Rocky Balboa was aired, I didn’t think there was going to be anymore. But then Creed was announced! Creed is about a young man by the name of Adonis Creed who started boxing and went to Rocky for training, Adonis was Apollo Creeds son, the man who was killed in a boxing match! Michael B Jordan killed the roll of Adonis and managed to make me relive my childhood! Brought me back to the days of Rocky’s 1 to 5! The character development was amazing, bring in a child of Apollo to start boxing, like father like son almost! Creed 2 is current out in Cinema, but I haven’t seen that one yet but if its anything like this movie, then ill love it! If you like boxing and any sports movie, this is the movie for you! I would give this movie a 9/10. Since the performance was amazing and the movie was brilliant! Trailer below! “Your legacy is more than a name!”
