@fotisuperman Maybe because they did not… it’s an adaptation of a very famous novel from the XVIIIth century, and has nothing to do with the singer.

Fast motion. Many characters referenced the audience. Hugh Griffith, it was revealed, was drunk throughout the movie. Watch him fall off his horse in the hunting scene!

Tom Jones is a magnificent singer. I didn’t know that they made a movie about his life.

Tom Jones may be a lot of things, but boring it is certainly not. See it for yourself.

Anyone who could label this wonderful movie as “boring” is boring himself and unable to appreciate a work of art.

I can’t imagine how one could possibly be bored by this film. It surely isn’t Richardson’s best, but it shouldn’t be “hard” to be entertained by it.
