CC Baxter, insurance clerk and only a face in a crowd of 30000 employees, has a little problem: He can’t use his own apartment. @Sheri451 I’ve wondered the same thing. I couldn’t begin to tell you how much I adore The Apartment, but it is not a comedy. It’s kind of a romantic drama with quite a few funny lines/moments, but not necessarily a comedy. The overall mood of the movie is that of a light drama, in my opinion. But anyway, this is my 5th favourite movie of all time.

I had never saw this movie until last month on HBO. I LOVED it. But WHY? Do they call it a comedy? It should have been called a drama, there was not a single funny thing about poor Miss Kubelich trying to kill herself after her boss rejected her. And I hated that scene when Dr Dreyfus keeps smacking her. I might buy the movie when I get the money.
I watch this movie …. it’s just toooooooooooooo long ( 2 hrs.) not all that funny.
