Despite Citizen Kane is a great film, I think this deserved Best Picture more than Citizen Kane did and despite that it did will the top award, I do think that it is the most underrated film of all time.

Certainly one of the most beautiful and sentimental movies ever to come out of Hollywood, by none better than John Ford. Marvellous cast, music, beautifully filmed, and the most touching love story and human family drama filmed. And pretty faithful to the book. My all time favourite from the golden age of Hollywood.
The Real Winner should’ve been either Citizen Kane or The Maltese Falcon.

this is a wounderfull film, it’s my mam’s favourite film and having bought up watching this film over and over again you start to get to love it.
Now at 29 it’s one of my fav films, also coming from a coal mining south wales village also gives you a ping in the heart when you watch this film.
Wish they would redited or add colour to it now I think it would be as big hit now as Wizard of oz when that was re-relised.
