Because i just took a course last semester on the origins of humans, taught by a very respected Anthro/archaeologist and I can’t recall a “verging” of races from the Mesopotamian valley. I’m not only versed in my own country’s history but I believe I have a great understanding of the humans history as I am a graduate of anthropological studies. I love everything about this film. It touches on so many controversial subjects, and holds up even today. When I saw the stageplay in New York with Amanda Plummer in the lead, however, I wasn’t nearly so moved. It’s just a great film.
One of the best film’s ever to come out of Britain. Incredibly written, beautifully filmed and cast to perfection. Stunning performances all round and a true “great” of the cinema. Never ever tire of watching it. Sad and hilariously funny at the same time. Don’t miss it. Get the dvd with great commentaries from the actor’s….”bloody marvelous Jo”
