Sedbergh Golf Club is far from your average golf club. We think that you'll struggle to find a more welcoming and friendly golf club anywhere in the UK. We welcome golfers of all experience levels, abilities and ages to play golf at Sedbergh.
Not a golfer? Not a problem! You're equally welcome at the golf club, either to enjoy some fabulous food or drinks in the club house or patio, or both! Why not?
The club itself dates back to 1896, although there's evidence that golf was played at Sedbergh two decades earlier. Back then golf was played on common land known as 'The Riggs'. In 1991, the club moved to its new home at Catholes-Abbot Holme, where a new 9 hole layout was professionally designed and constructed, making the most of the naturally undulating parkland.
With tree-lined holes and fairways crossing the River Dee and others running alongside the River Rawthey the emphasis is placed upon accuracy rather than distance. Well guarded greens (made to USGA specifications) and water features aplenty ensure that Sedbergh Golf Club provides an enjoyable test for golfers of all abilities.
