Whether you collect Canadian stamps in general or bird thematics this $1 stamp from 1998 is well worth tracking down.\u00a0 The stamp depicts the Common Loon or Great Northern Diver (Gavia immer<\/i>).\u00a0 The Stamp was issued in sheets of 16, and although they seldom turn up as such you can quite easily get a corner block of four.<\/p>\n

For those who like to know the technical details, they printed on unwatermarked paper are Perforation: 13\u00bc x 13.<\/p>\n

Modern Canada Stamps Are Relatively Inexpensive<\/h2>\n

Despite it being such an attractive stamp the $1 Loon is like most modern Canadian stamps relatively cheap although blocks do tend to command a premium.
