Week Seven saw yet another QB succumb to injury as the Chiefs MVP candidate Patrick Mahomes suffered a knee injury, which could keep him out for a few weeks. Not that it made any difference to them as they comfortably saw off divisional rivals Denver. Expect to see the Broncos shipping out players for draft picks now that their season is pretty much over.<\/p>\n
The Rams got back on track in the NFC West with a nice win over Atlanta- who are another team whose season has ended early. They have already traded Mohamed Sanu to the Patriots for a second-round pick and a few more players may follow him.<\/p>\n
Overall there were a few statement wins, the best of which was arguably the Patriots defense carrying them to an emphatic 33-0 win. They are now 7-0 and they are by far the class of the AFC. Ok, their strength of schedule has not been too taxing but all they can do is win them. Also in the AFC, the Colts showed there was life after Luck with a huge AFC South win at their main rivals Houston. It may be that The Tennessee Titans emerge as their main rivals as they beat the Chargers, who once again seem to have rediscovered the knack of lsing games they really should have won!<\/p>\n
But the big talking point in the AFC was Baltimore and in particular Lamaar Jackson, who has made the leap from last year with some aplomb. Their win at the Seahawks was mighty impressive, and they may emerge as the biggest threat to New England this year.<\/p>\n
In the NFCGreen Bays offence finally woke up and Rodgers had a big night with 429 yards and 5 TDs.<\/p>\n
