Week four of NFL season 2021 has already started and the Jaguars have moved smoothly into joint second place for the most consecutive regular-season defeats in the Super Bowl era! However, they now have a chance to move clear and even eclipse Tampa Bay’s unwanted record of 26. As we expected<\/a> the game was a lot closer than many predicted, and it took a last gasp field goal to clinch Cinncinati’s win. Still, it will be a scant consolation and their schedule doesn’t get any easier in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

It was an entertaining start to the weekend and hopefully, the rest of the games will match up, starting with that clash at Foxboro.\u00a0 Tom Bradys return to New England is probably the most noteworthy game of Sunday night, however, there are plenty of others with a bit of an edge to them.<\/p>\n

In the NFC West, two of the remaining unbeaten sides meet so something has got to give.\u00a0 While in the AFC we will find out just how good or otherwise the Broncos are – they may be 3-0 but those opponents are currently 0-10 and have a good chance of finishing the week 0-12!<\/p>\n

The interconference games are where the action is though with The Browns taking on a Minnesota team who are better than their record suggests while Kansas City go to the Eagles knowing that5 even at this early stage a win is a must.<\/p>\n

Add to this a big AFC West clash between the unbeaten Raiders and the Chargers and you have enough to keep every fan entertained.<\/p>\n

Thursday Night Game<\/h2>\n

Jacksonville 21 @ Cincinnati 24<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Bengals won their third game of the season thanks to a nice comeback led by Joe Burrow who had a near-flawless game throwing for 348 yards and 2 TDs. His Rating was also an NFL career-high of 132.8. Still, it required a long final drive to ice the game and Jacksonville will regret coming away from their running game in that final drive which ended up as a punt.<\/p>\n

Trevor Lawrence completed 17 of 24 passes for 204 yards and no TDs for the Jaguaars. Not staggering stats but no interceptions was the main thing. Hopefully, he has finally realised that the NFL backs are a lot better than those he faced in the ACC. He did rush for a TD though and the Jags running game looked decent. However, losing their best Wide Receiver DJ Chark for the season is a blow.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
