{"id":9782,"date":"2018-11-19T09:30:59","date_gmt":"2018-11-19T09:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/news\/?p=9782"},"modified":"2018-11-19T09:31:03","modified_gmt":"2018-11-19T09:31:03","slug":"fake-doctor-arrested-after-performing-8-successful-surgeries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/news\/fake-doctor-arrested-after-performing-8-successful-surgeries\/","title":{"rendered":"Fake Doctor Arrested After Performing 8 Successful Surgeries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A Kenyan Doctor who\u00a0managed to perform surgery on nine unsuspecting clients, has been arrested after it was discovered he was a fake Doctor; after working\u00a0at the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital in Kenya for many years.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ronald Melly, from Kenya, worked for many years at the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital in Kenya without anybody noticing that he was a fake doctor.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-9784\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/fake-doc-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/fake-doc-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/11\/fake-doc.jpg 547w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A report published on forum.facmedicine.com revealed that he performed 9 surgeries without the relevant qualifications; 8 of them being successful. 1 patient is known to have died under his supervision, but she was reported be on &#8220;stage 4&#8221; of the illness. She was also pregnant, and he managed to somehow save the baby.\u00a0\u201cDuring surgeries, he and a group of other doctors carried out, the patient who was then expectant died because she was on \u2018stage\u2019 four of the complication but they managed to save the baby,\u201d Mr. Serem, the county health chief, said.<\/p>\n<p>Nandi Governor Cleophas Lagata said \u201cI have never seen the fake doctor and the public should not blame the county government since doctors are employed by the parent ministry.
