{"id":295629,"date":"2021-01-06T16:05:08","date_gmt":"2021-01-06T16:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/news\/?p=295629"},"modified":"2021-01-06T16:05:08","modified_gmt":"2021-01-06T16:05:08","slug":"pm-announces-mass-vaccine-centres","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/news\/pm-announces-mass-vaccine-centres\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Announces Mass Vaccine Centres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The race to vaccinate 14 million people by mid February is on, and the PM has announced some pretty big news.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The government recently announced that 7 mass vaccination centres will be opening next week.<\/p>\n<p>The centres will be opening in London, Manchester,\u00a0Surrey, Bristol, Newcastle, Birmingham and Stevenage.<\/p>\n<p>The exact dates and times of opening aren\u2019t yet available to the public, but the prime minister\u2019s spokesperson said:\u00a0&#8220;They are opening next week.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It may be the case that some open on a different day to others, but they will all open next week.<\/p>\n<p>No10 said the seven centres are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Robertson House, Stevenage<\/li>\n<li>Excel Centre (Nightingale), London<\/li>\n<li>Centre for Life, Newcastle<\/li>\n<li>Etihad Tennis and Football Centre, Manchester<\/li>\n<li>Epsom Downs racecourse, Surrey<\/li>\n<li>Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol<\/li>\n<li>Millennium Point, Birmingham<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reports also suggest that there will be more than 7 centres for vaccination in the future, but this hasn\u2019t been confirmed yet.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s nice to see some positive news regarding the pandemic for once, but that\u2019s not to say we\u2019re out of the woods yet.
