If this requirement is fulfilled, they will be able to head home from the 3rd.<\/p>\n<p>This is to try and ensure that the risk of virus transmission between University and home is minimal.<\/p>\n<p>On top of this, the government recently announced that mass testing of universities, especially ones in high risk areas, will be carried out soon.<\/p>\n<p>If a student tests positive, they\u2019ll have to endure the standard 10 day isolation before going anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>And, from December 9th, Universities are planning to move learning online for those who still have work to do.<\/p>\n<p>The Universities Minister, Michelle Donelan, said: &#8220;We know this Christmas will feel \u202fdifferent, and following this incredibly difficult year \u202fwe \u202fare delivering on our commitment \u202fto get students back to their loved ones \u202fas safely as possible for the holidays.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have worked really hard to find a way to\u202f do this for students, while limiting the risk of transmission.\u202f Now it is vital they follow these measures to protect their families and communities, and for universities to make sure students have all \u202fthe \u202fwell being \u202fsupport they need, especially those who stay on campus over the break.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Those who are travelling back from campuses in other UK countries such as Wales and Scotland must be careful when coming in contact with people before of after leaving Uni, if they haven\u2019t completed a 4 week period of restrictions.
