It seems like Mcdonald\u2019s are getting ready to release a plant based burger after successful trials in Canada.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The PLT looks tasty.<\/p><\/div>\n

The McPlant, cleverly named I know, is said to come with a \u201cwarm, sesame seed bun with all the classic toppings\u201d.<\/p>\n

This comes as the world and food industry in general tries to move towards healthier and more sustainable foods.<\/p>\n

In a blog post, the company said: “Last year, with those customers in mind, we tested our first plant-based burger in select restaurants in Canada.<\/p>\n

“Based on what we learned and an encouraging response, we’re excited to give you a sneak preview of the McPlant – a delicious plant-based burger crafted for McDonald’s, by McDonald’s, and with the kind of craveable McDonald’s flavor our customers love.<\/p>\n

“In fact, we think our culinary team nailed it. There are other plant-based burgers out there, but the McPlant delivers our iconic taste in a sink-your-teeth-in (and wipe-your-mouth) kind of sandwich.<\/p>\n

“It’s made with a juicy, plant-based patty and served on a warm, sesame seed bun with all the classic toppings.<\/p>\n

“Markets can adopt the McPlant when they’re ready and we expect some to test the burger next year.”<\/span><\/p>\n

For now though, it seems we have to be content with real meat, as there\u2019s no mention of it coming to the UK. But, we can assume it\u2019s going to become a big menu item, so we could see it in the UK eventually!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll have to put up with the double big mac until then, which is set to release by christmas. It will contain four burger patties, a good portion of the usual toppings, cheese, and plenty of big mac sauce.<\/p>\n

A celebrations McFlurry is also on the way around christmas time, and so is a Jamaican style burger.<\/p>\n

These menu items aren\u2019t coming out for at least a week or two yet, so for now, head onto the mcdonalds app to receive some big discounts on current menu items.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
