The PM Boris Johnson is reportedly not happy, after he was pushing into locking down the country on what he now considers \u201cfalse data\u201d.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This comes after recently news that\u00a0Mark Woolhouse, the professor of infectious disease epidemiology at the University of Edinburgh,\u00a0believes that almost half of people in the UK with coronavirus or related symptoms aren\u2019t going for a test because they fear self isolating.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The PM reluctantly put the country in a second lockdown recently, over information saying cases could reach the hundreds of thousands per day, and deaths potentially reaching 4000 per day over the winter.<\/p>\n

This data provided by government scientists has now been discredited by other scientists, with the peak possibly happening last Thursday – when we were actually put into lockdown.<\/p>\n

Because of how long it takes for patients to show symptoms, the effects of a lockdown wouldn\u2019t usually show for around 2 weeks. However, cases are already falling, showing that cases were potentially falling before the second lockdown too.<\/p>\n

The PM is reportedly very upset about this, not to mention he is likely still upset the news of a lockdown was leaked too.<\/p>\n

A cabinet minister commented on the situation, saying: \u201cI think he is concerned that he may have been bounced into it\u2026 He was really, really cross about the leak because at that point a different decision might still have been made.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is also concern that some of the information used to inform the decision now seems to be crumbling\u2026 In fact the figures seem to be suggesting things were getting better before the lockdown began \u2013 we are being shut down for a month when we did not need to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
