Little did the police know they\u2019d find a huge bin bag full of 10s and 20s stuffed in the car.<\/p>\n<p>The photograph above shows the black bin bag full of bundled \u00a310 and \u00a320 notes, with some of them being wrapped in tin foil too.<\/p>\n<p>The man driving the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of handling criminal property and money laundering. He has been released pending investigation.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: \u201cTargeted officers patrolling the Kirkby area last night have arrested a 21-year-old male following a stop check on Newstet Road, Kirkby Industrial estate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShortly before 9pm officers spoke to the driver of a Ford Focus as part of a routine stop check.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring a search of the vehicle officers located a bin bag containing in a large quantity of cash which has been seized by the attending officers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe driver was arrested and later taken into custody as part of the investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cash has been seized by police, despite the man being let go whilst they investigate the origins of the money and what he was doing with it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Ford Focus that was pulled over for a simple speeding offence was found to have bags of cash inside of it.\u00a0 A 21 year old man was pulled over near Kirby for speeding on Thursday night, and it was expected to be a routine stop.
