Technology entrepreneur John McAfee has reportedly been detained by police in Norway, after he was spotted wearing a thong as a face mask.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

More specially, he refused to wear anything but the thong, when asked to wear a proper mask.<\/p>\n

News of his arrest broke yesterday when he started tweeting about the experience.<\/p>\n

He wrote<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on twitter yesterday<\/span><\/span>: “<\/span><\/span>I am being detained in Norway. Trivial issue but waiting for high level <\/span>beaurocrats<\/span> to arrive. Slow b******s, as you know.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span><\/span>My Coronavirus mask is the problem. I am insisting it is the safest available and I’m refusing to wear anything else – for my health’s sake. Authority!?!?!?!?<\/span><\/span>“<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He was on his way to Munich to meet up with his club, but sadly had to push back and then cancel the meeting due to the incident. He further tweeted:\u00a0“<\/span><\/span>Going to have to cancel the Red Scarf Society meeting. I am so sorry. Note to future adventurers: Always joke with you captors. No matter what.<\/span><\/span>“<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

His phone was then given to his wife, who continued to tweet on his behalf. She continued:\u00a0“<\/span><\/span>I’ll manage John’s account until he escapes (usual method), bribes someone (very quick – might be out in a few hours), retains the right lawyer (will be a few days) or becomes warden of the jail, in which case we will have to force him out.<\/span><\/span>“<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>His thong mask: It doesn’t recycle his exhaled carbon dioxide, like over the ear masks<\/span>,” she said.<\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>(Breathing impaired people are exempt from wearing masks because masks impair respiration). Masks stop bacteria. Not viruses<\/span> people! He was arrested for what he believes.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She also mentioned how he was arrested but she wasn\u2019t, despite being \u201cguilty\u201d of the same \u201ccrime\u201d: “<\/span><\/span>He was not arrested for wearing the thong as a mask. He was arrested for refusing to replace it with a ‘medically certified’ over the ear mask. I refused as well. But they chose to arrest John, and leave me be.”\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s important to note, whilst John hadn\u2019t been officially arrested, he had been detained. She also mentioned how she was asked to go home without him, and that he\u2019d meet her there. She was later pictures on the couples private jet just as John instructed.<\/p>\n

“<\/span><\/span>I received instructions from John through a private connection that he wanted me to go home and wait for his arrival. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“<\/span><\/span>So, hopefully – you know him, he got this, so you’ll be hearing from him soon, in a few hours I’m sure.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
