Piers Morgan took to Twitter to announce that todays appearance on the GMB show will be his last until September.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been speculated for a while that Piers was wanting to take a break from the show, and now, it seems that time has come.<\/p>\n

Piers took to Twitter yesterday to say: “It\u2019s our last day on air tomorrow until September and we intend to make it a \ud83d\udd25 one. So if you love us, loathe us, or just want to throw your remote at the TV, tune into GMB from 6am. I\u2019ll be shouting. @susannareid100 will be pouting, and we\u2019ll both be clouting.”<\/p>\n

Peoples reactions showed their disappointment around the journalists leave, with someone replying to his tweet: “NO!!!!!! We know you need a rest, but you’re the reasons I put GMB on!”<\/p>\n

A viewer mistakenly thought Piers was leaving permanently, so they wrote into the show.<\/p>\n

The letter said: “After watching GMB, I thought I heard you state you were leaving at the end of the year,” to which Piers responded: “I’m not actually CJ, end of next year possibly.”<\/p>\n

Susanna then joked: “Contract negotiations underway!”<\/p>\n

Piers comments about leaving at the end of next year surprised a lot of viewers, including myself; the show wouldn\u2019t be the same without him.
