Families of the victims of the Ethiopian Boeing 737 Max crash are still waiting for answers to why the plane was even allowed to be airborne given that one had crashed only a few months earlier and negative reports regarding its safety were circulating<\/p>\n

The plane was a new design – a 737 Max, an updated version of Boeing\u2019s long-serving workhorse, the 737 – and the crash was the second accident involving that model in the space of just a few months. the crash which took place on 29th March 2019 came soon after the Indonesian one in October 2018, however, only after this second disaster did Boeing ground the entire fleet.\u00a0 \u00a346 people were killed in the two crashes and the US Department of Justice is reportedly carrying out a criminal inquiry which will ask serious questions of the company regarding how the plane was deemed fit for service in the first place.<\/p>\n

The saddest part in all of this is that Boeing has tried to blame the pilots for the crashes and only recently have they elected to make some funds available to help the families of those affected. The sum of $100m has been reported which indicated that Boeing values a human life at around $289,017.34. The analysis below makes quite shocking reading.<\/p>\n
