Campsites have had to cancel opening on July 4th, after their excitement for potentially opening for business on that date.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The reason for this is down to the governments lack of safety rules for the sites apparently, so they\u2019re having to either pause holidaymakers bookings or cancel them all together.<\/p>\n

Since news broke that camping may be an ideal alternative to going abroad, there has been a large number of people interested in going camping. Those travelling abroad will have to endure a 14 day quarantine when returning to the UK, and obviously many people would like anything but to spend all that time indoors – especially if they\u2019re not sick. Camping seemed like a viable alternative to going abroad, as there are plenty of beauty spots in England, and with there being a lot of nice weather recently, you wouldn\u2019t even know the difference! Let\u2019s hope the Costa Del Britain weather is here to stay, as lockdown measures are eased further, so family and friends can enjoy it properly.<\/p>\n

Martin Smith, of Campsites.co.uk told the newspaper: \u201cCampsite owners don\u2019t know if shower facilities are safe to open and what provisions they must put in place to protect their customers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey need clear and definitive Government advice to open safely this summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cEarly warning of any restrictions and policies will really be essential. That\u2019s really the key to whether the staycation boom actually happens or not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iain Duncan Smith, a former conservative leader also added:\u201d\u2019If campsites and caravan parks are not sure of the way ahead because of unclear guidance, then the Government has got to make a move on that.\u201d

Many campsites are expected to open without facilities such as toilets and showers, because of the Coronavirus. So be aware, when you can finally go camping, your stay may be a little different to what you are used to. The government just need to approve the re opening, and they\u2019re good to go. They also need to be clear on what guidelines need to be in place and how to implement them, as its issues like these that are forcing campsites to cancel holidays and turn away business.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
