Piers Morgan has announced that he won\u2019t be on GMB next week, as he takes a weeks holiday away from the show.

He\u2019s taking a short break from the show.<\/p><\/div>\n

His colleagues Susanna and Dr Hilary will also be leaving the show briefly next week, to enjoy a well deserved, long overdue break.<\/p>\n

He said it had been a \u201clong old haul\u201d so far when talking about reporting extensively on the Coronavirus pandemic. And when asked if he was going anywhere nice for his \u201choliday\u201d, he replied: “I’m going upstairs!”<\/p>\n

However, he did admit his life hasn\u2019t changed massively since lockdown, saying: “I can’t occasionally go to restaurants or go on planes… and we can actually come to work and we’ve probably been working much harder than we ever had. I haven’t noticed much of a change.”<\/p>\n

Despite this he says he has noticed the effect on his sons, and how their lives have changed since measures were imposed.<\/p>\n

He said: “For my three kids – my sons who are 19, 22 and 26 – it’s a massive sea change.”<\/p>\n

“My youngest son’s at university and he’s been doing online lectures and he said it’s been working fine actually, he’s got used to it.<\/p>\n

“You get used to these things, don’t you?’<\/p>\n

“My middle boy’s a young actor, just come out of drama school. There’s no acting going on! There are no theatres.<\/p>\n

“It’s very tough for young people. All of his class have come out of a top drama school, they’re all about to burst into the world of acting and now they’re all sat at home!”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
