Something which will no doubt come as a huge relief both\u00a0the young\u00a0Saudi girl concerned and a watching public who are well aware of the\u00a0draconian punishment she could face if returned and\u00a0charged with apostasy (abandoning one&#8217;s religious beliefs). This potentially carries the death penalty in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>The world is still awaiting\u00a0details of the\u00a0whereabouts of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dina_Ali_Lasloom\">Dina Ali Lasloom<\/a> who similarly attempted to seek asylum in Australia, but was returned to Saudi Arabia from the Philippines in April 2017.
