Stranger Things star Millie Bobbie Brown has donated \u00a315k to various charities supporting front line staff.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

She showed her appreciation for the massive sacrifices the workers are all making by splitting her donation three ways; donating \u00a35,000 each to Bournemouth Hospital Charity, Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal and Southampton Hospitals Charity.<\/p>\n

The money will go towards PPE, and other things to benefit the workers like other equipment and mental and physical support should they need it.<\/p>\n

Millie, born in Spain, has lived in Bournemouth for a few years now, and described how she was in \u201cawe\u201d of the people working to treat the sick.<\/p>\n

Millie said: \u2018Britain\u2019s NHS workers \u2013 and all carers \u2013 are an inspiration to us all and are the nation\u2019s heroes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am in awe of every one of them and just wanted to thank those risking their lives \u2013 particularly in hospitals on the South coast.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe area is very dear to me and my family and I cannot wait to visit again soon. Keep up the brilliant work and stay safe. Thank you. You are all amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The money, and all other donations made, will also go towards things such as food and drink for the the staff, who are often on their feet all day.<\/p>\n

Debbie Anderson, the head of charity for Bournemouth Hospital Charity, said: \u201cWe are committed to supporting the mental and physical wellbeing of our staff at this time, and thanks to the generous donations we have already received we have already purchased health and wellbeing books, toiletries, refreshments, and white boards to communicate with patients and other staff members when wearing PPE.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of the time of writing, more than 195,000 UK residents have been diagnosed with the Coronavirus, with many more who have yet to be diagnosed, or who\u2019ve already had the virus without knowing.
