The Big 10 clash Michigan against Ohio State on 24th November also just got a whole lot more interesting.

Other games worth a mention include:

Racking them up

Boise State 56, Colorado State 28 – Boise ran up a 35-0 lead in the 2nd Quarter and won ease despite having fewer yards of Offense and fewer 1st Downs. Winning the turnover battle 3-0 did help.

Is it Basketball?

This weeks award goes to Missouri 65, Memphis 33 who managed to rack up 44 points between them in the 2nd Quarter. Over 1000 yards of offense and 55 first downs kept the 52,917 crowd entertained as the game was only briefly close. This result sadly shows why UCF won’t be figuring in the playoffs this season even if they win out given they struggled big time against Memphis – who were then taken apart by a middling SEC team.

Game of the day

Old Dominion 37, Western Kentucky 34. Just for the sheer craziness, this was our game of the day. You couldn’t make the ending up as OD first tie things up with 9 seconds left then win the game with a field goal on an untimed down, following what can best be described as a “comedy of errors”, including a twice missed field goal by WK and a facemask penalty to keep the game alive and give OD the win.

Performance of the day

Nebraska 53, Minnesota 28 Scott Frost finally has a win and got it is some style.

Getting your Money’s Worth

Two games went to double overtime

Army 31, Miami-Ohio 30 – could have been 3 but Miami tried and failed on a 2pt conversion.
Syracuse 40, UNC 37 – Syracuse scored a late TD to take it to OT and then won it with another after UNC had to settle for a FG.

Looking Good

Buffalo 31 Toledo 17 – The Bulls go to 7-1 and should be heading for the MAC Conference Title game.
