The 2022 Major League Baseball postseason begins tonight and it will showcase the new format which we feel benefits the game.\u00a0 There are 12 teams in the postseason now and unlike in previous years, the opening games will be a best-of-three series.<\/p>\n

The new format is as follows…<\/p>\n

The top two seeds in each league in this case The Dodgers & Braves in the NL and The\u00a0 Astros and Yankees in the get a first-round bye.\u00a0 The other eight teams play a best-of-three Wild Card series as below. Thereon the postseason will take its normal shape: a best-of-five League Division Series; a best-of-seven League Championship Series; and then the best-of-seven World Series.<\/p>\n

Our bracket is listed below with our predicted winner in each round in blue.\u00a0 That leaves nothing more to say other than “Batter up”.<\/p>\n

So there we have it the bracket and eventual winner as we see it. This would mean the Dodgers not only get revenge over the Braves for last year but also get their 8th win. This would tie them with the Giants as the 5th most successful<\/a> of all time.<\/p>\n
