As a neutral you have to feel a little sorry for both these teams with both having just lost their Division tie break games, the Cubs 3-1 at home to the Brewers and the Rockies 5-2 at the Dodgers. Neither team found much rhythm on offence in those games and this one could end up being a pitchers duel.<\/p>\n
The starters have been announced and although anything can happen in Baseball this has the look of a low scoring game with 5 times All Star Jon Lester opening of the Cubs. He has plenty of post season experience being a 3 time World Series winner including with the Cubs in 2016, and his season ERA is 3.32 which is slightly better than his career average. <\/p>\n
Facing him will be relative newcomer Kyle Freeland who has had a breakout season with 28 wins and a respectable 3,39 ERA. More importantly he seems to have been getting better as the season progresses and he has been very impressive through September. <\/p>\n
So with star pitchers on the mound this could come down to the Bullpen and this in our opinion would give the Rockies a slight edge.<\/p>\n
