{"id":519,"date":"2021-01-06T11:11:50","date_gmt":"2021-01-06T11:11:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/lifestyle\/?p=519"},"modified":"2021-01-06T12:19:26","modified_gmt":"2021-01-06T12:19:26","slug":"lockdown-what-should-i-do-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/lifestyle\/lockdown-what-should-i-do-today\/health\/","title":{"rendered":"Lockdown: What Should I Do Today?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lockdown isn\u2019t easy &#8211; but we already know this because we\u2019ve been in two of them already. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The government plunged the nation into the third recently, after a lot of new cases over the Christmas period.<\/p>\n<p>And, as most people are trying really hard to find things to do and keep feeling as normal as possible, it seems a good idea to start sharing some ideas about what to do from day to day now that we\u2019re in lockdown again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday the 6th of January\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Do some work<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today it seems like a good idea to focus on any work you\u2019ve got to do. Whether that\u2019s around the house or professionally. Work is time consuming so it obviously keeps you occupied, and since it\u2019s meant to be quite cold today across the whole of the UK, it makes sense to stay inside (more so than we have to already).<\/p>\n<p>However, its definitely a good idea to go for a quick walk, if you\u2019re the type of person who\u2019s mind is always racing, as there\u2019s nothing worse than having no stimulation because let\u2019s face it, you\u2019re either going to finish your work or get bored of it at some point today. If you don\u2019t mind having a day inside, play some music or have the TV on in the background, and once you\u2019ve finished whatever you\u2019re doing, maybe take this as an opportunity to relax.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also worth remembering you need to drink plenty of water. There\u2019s no excuse for not drinking water anymore! You have taps in your home and since that\u2019s where you are all the time there\u2019s no reason why you can\u2019t drink a proper amount. Water is good for the body and mind, and even keeps you feeling energised.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, talk to your friends and family. Whether that\u2019s just for a chat to keep yourself occupied, or whether you just need to talk to someone.
