Former team mate Ryan Giggs has revealed that Becks was sold because he was \u201carguing every week\u201d and \u201cit was getting too much\u201d.<\/p>\n

Players like RVN were also sold by United after squabbles with teammates and staff members.<\/p>\n

In his 2013 autobiography, Ferguson said: \u201cIn his final season with us, we were aware that David\u2019s work rate was dropping and we had heard rumours of a flirtation between Real Madrid and David\u2019s camp.\u201d<\/p>\n

So from this extract it appears that it wasn\u2019t for personal disagreements that Beckham was sold… but I guess it\u2019s up to interpretation as when asked about Fergies track record of getting rid of big names, Ryan Giggs said: \u201cI think the majority of the time it was for football reasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was to get someone in or the player maybe losing that influence. Or it was just the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe likes of David Beckham it was getting too much, where he was arguing every other week really and it was just time for both parties to move and that happened on a few occasions.\u201d<\/p>\n

It seems like it was a mix of personal disagreements and football challenged that caused Beckham to leave.
