Yesterday, England went up against rivals Germany in a group stage contest. After the Euros 2020, fans would think England would be able to pull through and win the match after dominating in the Euros, however this was not the case.
The Nations League Cup has started with a lot of teams winning games that some fans of football wouldn’t even think of! Denmark managed to beat France 2-1, England managed to lose 1-0 to Hungary, and Armenia managed to pull of a 1-0 win over Ireland! A strange beginning to the Nation League cup!
Thinking of England during the Nation League, they have had some poor performances during the past 2 they have went into, compared to the Euro’s and World Cup. In the season 2020-2022, England came third in the table and Belgium managed to get first and Denmark came second!
Yesterday, England went up against Germany. The game started with England having some attacks and Germany having a couple too. The game was a draw until the 50th minute when Jonas Hofmann managed to get the goal to make Germany go ahead!
All hope was lost, however Germany gave a way a penalty in the closing moments of the game, Harry Kane stepped up to score the goal and made the game 1-1! A great game to watch for all England Fans from across the world and Germany fans.
