{"id":2719,"date":"2023-04-18T13:30:05","date_gmt":"2023-04-18T13:30:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/?p=2719"},"modified":"2023-04-18T13:30:05","modified_gmt":"2023-04-18T13:30:05","slug":"salmon-pasta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/salmon-pasta\/general\/","title":{"rendered":"Salmon pasta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is made possible by BBC Foods!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-ingredients__heading gel-double-pica\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"recipe-ingredients__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">160g\/5\u00beoz short pasta, such as\u00a0penne<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">25g\/1oz\u00a0butter<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1 tbsp\u00a0olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1 large\u00a0leek, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">4\u00a0spring onions, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1 tbsp fresh\u00a0thyme\u00a0leaves<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">2 x 120g\/4\u00bcoz\u00a0salmon\u00a0fillets, skin removed<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1\u00a0lemon, zest and juice<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">3 tbsp full-fat\u00a0cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">salt and freshly ground\u00a0black pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-method__heading gel-double-pica\">Method<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Cook the pasta in a saucepan of boiling water according to the packet instructions until just tender.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Drain and reserve 100ml cooking water.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Meanwhile, heat the butter and oil in a shallow casserole dish or frying pan with a lid over a medium\u2013low heat.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Fry the leek, spring onion and thyme leaves for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Do not allow the leeks to take on any colour \u2013 keep an eye on them and reduce the temperature if necessary.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Place the salmon fillets on top of the leeks, season really well with salt and pepper and add the lemon zest and juice.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Cover with a lid and continue to cook for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Remove the lid, flip the salmon over, cover and cook for a further 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Transfer the salmon to a plate and set aside.
