{"id":2639,"date":"2023-03-07T10:16:36","date_gmt":"2023-03-07T10:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/?p=2639"},"modified":"2023-03-07T10:16:36","modified_gmt":"2023-03-07T10:16:36","slug":"cannellini-bean-and-pea-stew","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/cannellini-bean-and-pea-stew\/general\/","title":{"rendered":"Cannellini bean and pea stew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is made possible by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/\">BBC<\/a> Foods!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-ingredients__heading gel-double-pica\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"recipe-ingredients__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">2 tbsp\u00a0olive oil, plus extra to garnish<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">200g\/7oz\u00a0red onion, finely diced<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">200g\/7oz\u00a0celery, finely diced and leaves reserved for garnish<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">200g\/7oz red\u00a0pepper, finely diced<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">3\u00a0garlic\u00a0cloves, grated<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">2 tsp\u00a0paprika<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">2 tsp\u00a0dried mixed herbs<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1\u00a0vegetable stock\u00a0cube<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1 tbsp cornflour or\u00a0plain flour<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">400g tin\u00a0cannellini beans, drained and rinsed<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">2 tbsp\u00a0tomato pur\u00e9e<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">300g\/10\u00bdoz frozen\u00a0peas<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">salt and freshly ground\u00a0black pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-method__heading gel-double-pica\">Method<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Heat the oil in a large saucepan or casserole over a heat and add the onion, celery and red pepper.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Season well with salt and pepper and fry for around 7 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add the garlic, paprika and herbs and stir for another 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Or more if needed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Measure out 600ml hot water in a jug and crumble in the stock cube.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add the cornflour and stir to combine.
