Once the oil shimmer.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add the chicken and fry for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Remove from the pan with a slotted spoon, transfer to a plate.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Set aside.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Reduce the heat slightly, add the remaining oil to the pan, followed by the aubergine, spring onions, courgette, shallots, ginger, garlic and red chilli.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Fry for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Meanwhile, combine the black pepper, soy sauce, sugar and cornflour in a small bowl.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add a splash of water and stir until combined and the sugar is dissolved.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Increase the heat to medium\u2013high, return the chicken to the pan and toss together.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add the soy sauce mixture and allow it to bubble and thicken for a minute.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Remove from the heat, stir through the basil and serve with a squeeze of lime juice.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><strong>Banner and Image Credit: <a class=\"mui-19sk0fy-a-underline-inherit-linkContainer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.shutterstock.com\/g\/timolina\">Timolina<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is made possible by BBC Foods!
