{"id":2514,"date":"2023-01-19T10:21:18","date_gmt":"2023-01-19T10:21:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/?p=2514"},"modified":"2023-01-19T10:21:18","modified_gmt":"2023-01-19T10:21:18","slug":"easy-chicken-noodle-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/easy-chicken-noodle-soup\/general\/","title":{"rendered":"Easy chicken noodle soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is made possible by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/\">BBC<\/a> Foods!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-ingredients__heading gel-double-pica\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"recipe-ingredients__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">500ml\/18fl oz good-quality\u00a0chicken stock<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1\u00a0garlic\u00a0clove, sliced<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">small nugget fresh\u00a0ginger, peeled and sliced<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1 cooked skinless\u00a0chicken breast<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">100g\/3\u00bdoz dried fine egg\u00a0noodles<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">3 spears Tenderstem\u00a0broccoli\u00a0or 100g\/3\u00bdoz frozen peas<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">2\u20133 tsp reduced salt\u00a0soy sauce<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">3\u00a0spring onions, trimmed<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">handful\u00a0beansprouts, rinsed<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">chilli or\u00a0sesame oil\u00a0(optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-method__heading gel-double-pica\">Method<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Pour the chicken stock into a pan and add 200ml water.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add the garlic and ginger to the stock and set the pan over a very low heat for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Using a slotted spoon, remove the garlic and ginger from the pan and discard.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Shred the chicken breast into small, bite-sized pieces and add to the stock with the egg noodles.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Simmer the broth for 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">If using, cut the broccoli into 5mm pieces and thinly slice the spring onions.
