{"id":2353,"date":"2022-11-18T16:04:22","date_gmt":"2022-11-18T16:04:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/?p=2353"},"modified":"2022-11-18T16:04:22","modified_gmt":"2022-11-18T16:04:22","slug":"sausage-chicken-and-squash-traybake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/sausage-chicken-and-squash-traybake\/general\/","title":{"rendered":"Sausage, chicken and squash traybake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is made possible by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/\">BBC<\/a> Foods!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-ingredients__heading gel-double-pica\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"recipe-ingredients__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">4\u00a0chicken thighs, skin on, bone in<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">4\u20136 meaty\u00a0pork sausages<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">500g\/1lb 2oz\u00a0pumpkin\u00a0or squash, cut into wedges<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">2 red\u00a0onions, cut into wedges<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">few sprigs\u00a0thyme, or 1 tsp dried\u00a0thyme<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">2 tbsp\u00a0olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">50ml\/2fl oz\u00a0red wine<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1 tbsp\u00a0maple syrup<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1 tsp\u00a0red wine vinegar<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">\u00bd tsp\u00a0chilli\u00a0flakes (optional)<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">200g\/7oz\u00a0chestnut mushrooms, halved<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">salt and freshly ground\u00a0black pepper<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">fresh parsley, roughly chopped, to serve (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-method__heading gel-double-pica\">Method<\/h2>\n<p>Before starting this, make sure to preheat the oven to 220C\/200C Fan\/Gas 7.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Arrange the chicken thighs, sausages, pumpkin and red onions in a roasting tin and season with salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Sprinkle over the thyme and drizzle over 1 tablespoon of the oil.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Mix the red wine with 100ml of water and pour this in.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Roast for 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Turn the sausages over halfway through cooking to help them brown.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Mix the maple syrup with the red wine vinegar and then drizzle it over the roasting tin.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Sprinkle over the chilli flakes, if using.
