{"id":2327,"date":"2022-11-10T11:14:23","date_gmt":"2022-11-10T11:14:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/?p=2327"},"modified":"2022-11-10T11:14:23","modified_gmt":"2022-11-10T11:14:23","slug":"cod-and-chorizo-orzo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/cod-and-chorizo-orzo\/general\/","title":{"rendered":"Cod and chorizo orzo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is made possible by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/\">BBC<\/a> Foods!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-ingredients__heading gel-double-pica\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"recipe-ingredients__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">200g\/7oz\u00a0orzo\u00a0pasta<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">225g\/8oz\u00a0cod\u00a0fillet, skinless and boneless<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">salt and freshly ground\u00a0black pepper<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">5 tbsp\u00a0olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">200g\/7oz cooking\u00a0chorizo, roughly chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">\u00bd tsp smoked hot\u00a0paprika<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">90g\/3\u00bdoz roasted red\u00a0peppers\u00a0(from a jar), cut into strips<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">3 tbsp chopped fresh flatleaf\u00a0parsley<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">\u00bd\u00a0lemon, juice only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-method__heading gel-double-pica\">Method<\/h2>\n<p>Before starting this recipe, make sure to preheat the oven to 200C\/390F\/Gas 6.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Bring a large pan of salted water to a boil, add the orzo and cook for 10-12 minutes.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Drain the orzo and set it aside.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Season the cod with salt and freshly ground black pepper.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Heat an ovenproof frying pan until smoking, add one tablespoon of the olive oil and fry the cod for 1 minute on both sides. Transfer to the oven to cook for 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Remove the fish from the pan and flake the flesh onto a plate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Heat a pan until hot, add the remaining olive oil and the chorizo and fry for 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Using a slotted spoon, remove the chorizo from the pan and set aside.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add the cooked orzo and smoked sweet paprika to the pan, stir well to coat in the oil and cook for 2 minutes. Return the chorizo to the pan and add the roasted red peppers and flaked cod.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Mix well to combine and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
