{"id":2300,"date":"2022-11-02T09:46:54","date_gmt":"2022-11-02T09:46:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/?p=2300"},"modified":"2022-11-02T09:48:04","modified_gmt":"2022-11-02T09:48:04","slug":"creamy-lemon-veg-pasta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/creamy-lemon-veg-pasta\/general\/","title":{"rendered":"Creamy lemon veg pasta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is made possible by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/\">BBC<\/a> Foods!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-ingredients__heading gel-double-pica\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"recipe-ingredients__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">175g\/6oz dried\u00a0pasta, such as orecchiette, casarecce or penne<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1 tbsp\u00a0olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1\u00a0shallot, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">2\u00a0garlic\u00a0cloves, grated<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">pinch\u00a0dried chilli\u00a0flakes<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1 tsp\u00a0vegetable stock, or \u00bd\u00a0vegetable stock\u00a0cube, crumbled<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">150g\/5\u00bdoz\u00a0cavolo nero, stems removed and leaves roughly chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">150g\/5\u00bdoz\u00a0spring greens, stems removed and leaves roughly chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">50g\/1\u00beoz\u00a0cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">1\u00a0lemon, finely grated zest<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">20g\/\u00beoz\u00a0Parmesan\u00a0(or alternative vegetarian hard cheese), finely grated<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-ingredients__list-item\">salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"recipe-method__heading gel-double-pica\">Method<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"recipe-method__list\">\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil, add the pasta and cook according to the packet instructions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large, deep frying pan over a medium heat, add the shallot, garlic and chilli flakes and fry for 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add the vegetable stock, fry for a minute, then add a ladleful of the pasta cooking water. Add the greens and cook for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add another ladleful of the pasta cooking water and continue cooking for a couple of minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Drain the pasta, reserving the cooking water, then add the pasta to the pan with the greens.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Turn the heat up to high and cook for a minute, stirring constantly, and adding a little of the reserved pasta water to make a silky sauce.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Remove from the heat and stir in the cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche and lemon zest.
