Pour into a jug to cool.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">For the brownies, sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into a large bowl and set aside.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Melt the chocolate and butter in a pan over medium heat, remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Whisk the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until thick and pale.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Whisk in the chocolate, then fold in the flour mixture until just combined.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Pour half the batter into the tin and smooth the surface using a spatula.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\">\n<p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Add a thin layer of the caramel, making sure to leave the edges clean.
