This week, we\u2019re doing something a bit different, a\u00a0Blackberry &amp; apple oat bake!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<section class=\"recipe-template__ingredients col-12 mt-md col-lg-6\">\n<p class=\"mb-md section-heading-1\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<section>\n<ul class=\"list\">\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">500ml semi-skimmed milk<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">2 small cinnamon sticks<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">6 cardamom pods , bashed<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">2 Gala apples , peeled, cored and cut into 1cm cubes<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">200g jumbo porridge oats<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">1 egg , beaten<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">1 tsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">1 tsp baking powder<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">100g pecans , roughly chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">320g blackberries<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xxs pt-xxs list-item list-item--separator\">milk or fat-free yogurt and maple syrup, to serve<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_1272\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1272\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1272\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2020\/08\/71AF504B-788C-4EB3-AD9A-D5B2C39C54C3-300x273.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"273\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2020\/08\/71AF504B-788C-4EB3-AD9A-D5B2C39C54C3-300x273.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2020\/08\/71AF504B-788C-4EB3-AD9A-D5B2C39C54C3.jpeg 440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1272\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Example.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"recipe-template__method-steps mb-lg col-12 col-lg-6\">\n<p class=\"mb-xs section-heading-1\"><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"grouped-list\">\n<ul class=\"grouped-list__list list\">\n<li class=\"pb-xs pt-xs list-item\">Heat the oven to 200C\/180C fan\/gas 6. Put the milk, spices and apple in a small saucepan. Cover and then gently bring to the boil and simmer for 10-12 mins. Set aside to infuse for at least 15 mins.<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xs pt-xs list-item\">Remove and discard the spices, then pour the apples and milk into a large bowl and roughly crush the apples with the back of a fork. Mix in the oats, egg, vanilla, baking powder, pecans and blackberries.<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-xs pt-xs list-item\">Tip into a 2-litre ovenproof dish and bake for about 30-35 mins until piping hot in the middle.
