It was a great movie but the central premise was a lie. schizophrenia is all too real and can’t be cured with a little love and understanding.
I live in Mcminnville Oregon and i’ve been in Salem LOTS of times and have seen this State hospital but ive never been inside. I dont think its in use anymore.
This is one of my personal fave films!
It was good to hear the music featured on this film on the radio!

My dad says that the nurse in this movie is just like my vice principal. After viewing several clips online, it’s safe to say he’s exactly right!
I always thought that too. I always thought he looked like Johnny Knoxville in the Shining.
Damn. As an actor, i have to admit a strange mix of jealousy and pure admiration when I see a Jack Nicholson movie. He’s so alive and weird and interesting yet NEVER a false note.
