@mbilalbhatti A man goes to New York to become a jiggalo, Things dont work out, nobody wants to sleep with him, he gets mixed up with Ratso and things turn bad! Its one of the greatest movies ever, watch it!
Can anyone tell me the story line in one paragraph (Without spoiler)? I am really interested in watching this movie.
This film is reminiscent of “Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck.
Best movie ever.
I hug many of my friends, guys and girls and am not even CLOSE to being gay! There’s nothing wrong with loving my friends =)
@DenimZero dont give it away for people who havent seen it 😛
To me the Greatest actor ever, Dustin Hoffman!!
The greatest actor ever for me Dustin Hoffin!!
@thebizkit69u
Yeah the rest of the movie is more of a time piece, but what makes it timeless is the struggle, friendship and death at the end.
thebizkit69u: of course it’s outdated – it’s from the 60’s! But that’s what makes it great – a snapshot of the era. I agree the relationship between the two is beautiful, and I defy anyone not to cry at the end of this movie: it’s all in Jon Voight’s eyes at the end as he sits with the dead Hoffman beside him……
I know many people don’t feel the same but I honestly think the movie is extremely outdated and I had trouble enjoying the film as a whole. That being said the performances by Hoffman and Voight are classic, the relationship between the two in the movie is what really made an impact but the rest of the movie is just lost on me, I guess one would have to have lived during the late 60’s to really connect but the movie was just a jumbled incoherent mess IMO.
@ReechReynolds well actually it used to be pretty simple. R for showing tits and X if two people screwed. and XXX just meant porn. They decided to get rid of X after pressure from theater owners saying it was killing sales. The public agreed mild sex is no biggie and wala.. the new standardized cinema ratings were born

This is not the original 1969 trailer; it is from the 1994 (25th anniversary) re-release.
It’s hard to pick a favourite film, but this is probably it for me …
