Many other fashion brands are joining them, the latest designer to join the list is luxury fashion house Prada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Prada has just announced they will be no longer using animal fur and they are committed to join the rest of the dedicated fashion brands. The Italian fashion brand is now partnered with the Fur Free Association, they will be fading out the animal fur in the SS 2020 collection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Prada is also fading animal fur from all its sister labels such as Miu Miu, Church&#8217;s and Car Shoes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Head designer Miuccia Prada said in a statement:<\/strong> &#8220;The Prada Group is committed to innovation and social responsibility, and our fur-free policy is an extension of that engagement,&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8220;Focusing on innovative materials will allow the company to explore new boundaries of creative design while meeting the demand for ethical products.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">As part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/PradaGroup?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#PradaGroup<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Prada?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Prada<\/a> has announced, in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FurFreeAlliance?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@FurFreeAlliance<\/a>, that it will no longer use animal fur in its designs or new products, starting with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/PradaSS20?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#PradaSS20<\/a> Women\u2019s collections. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/PradaGroupFurFree?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#PradaGroupFurFree<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FurFreeRetailer?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FurFreeRetailer<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FutureofFashion?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FutureofFashion<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FurFree?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FurFree<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Np6HCL0w2d\">pic.twitter.com\/Np6HCL0w2d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 PRADA (@Prada) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Prada\/status\/1131183113818841088?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 22, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The removal of real fur is now in full force in the fashion world with brands such as Burberry, Gucci, Coach and Michael Kors recently changing and reviewing their policies around using animal products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Brigit Oele, program manager for Fur Free Alliance, said:<\/strong> \u201cPrada Group was one of the fastest companies to go fur-free once positive dialogue began a little more than a year ago. The\u00a0Fur Free Retailer\u00a0program now includes 1,000 companies, showing that this global movement is gaining momentum fast, and it\u2019s very unlikely that fur will ever return as an acceptable trend.
