Elvis Presley made his first appearance in a live concert on this date in 1954. This was at Overton Park Orchestra Shell in Memphis TN. He made it to the headlines at the age of 19 years old! What a day for Elvis Presley fans and him in particular.<\/p>\n

From now until August 6th, It is Cowes Week. Cowes, Isle of Wight are the main places that has this but this is the largest, longest and best known international sailing regatta in the world... this has been since 1826 and there are up to 1000 boats across almost 40 classes of yacht racing.<\/p>\n

This event started in 1444 and it is known as the Islamic New Year. The first day of the first month of the Islamic calendar! This is a different method for anticipating the visibility of the new moon crescent at Macca!<\/p>\n
