Actor and comedian Kevin Hart was taken to hospital with “major back injuries” following a car accident in Los Angeles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hart was a passenger in a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda on Mulholland Highway at the time of the accident. The car had lost control and tumbled down an embankment on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The driver, Jared Black, also sustained major back injuries and a third passenger was unhurt. Black was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two of the three occupants were trapped in the vehicle. Hart left the scene to his nearby residence to get medical attention.\u00a0<\/span>Hart was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Centre however, the injuries to his back are currently unknown.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hart bought the car in July as a 40th birthday gift to himself.<\/span><\/p>\n
