Two members of ASAP Rocky&#8217;s entourage, Bladimir Corniel and David Rispers, were also found guilty of the same charge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The court would have gave the trio a two year jail sentence but none of them had any convictions over the past five years and had already spent time in custody awaiting their trial.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The court released a statement to say:<\/strong> &#8220;The assault has not been of such a serious nature that a prison sentence must be chosen,&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8220;The defendants are therefore sentenced to conditional sentences.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A suspended sentence means as long as the rapper and his two men stay out of trouble with police they will avoid prison.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A$AP Rocky&#8217;s lawyer Slobodan Jovicic said he was &#8220;disappointed&#8221; by the decision and had hoped for a &#8220;complete acquittal&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mayers spent nearly a month in prison after the assault and had support of\u00a0 600,000 fans who signed a #JusticeForRocky petition set up online. He also had the support of celebrities such as Kim Kardashian West, Justin Bieber, Post Malone and Shawn Mendes PLUS US President Donald Trump.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>US rapper A$AP Rocky has been found guilty of assault following an incident in Stockholm.
