The charges were filed against the rapper and two others after swedish prosecutor Daniel Suneson said he had &#8220;come to the conclusion that the events in question constitute a crime despite claims of self-defence and provocation&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The rapper has been in custody since July 3rd whilst they have been investigating the incident in Stockholm which happened before he performed at a music festival. His lawyer said the alleged incident was a &#8220;self-defence situation&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-1593\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/07\/shutterstock_1223895442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"745\" height=\"484\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/07\/shutterstock_1223895442.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/07\/shutterstock_1223895442-300x195.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fiveminutesspare.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/07\/shutterstock_1223895442-768x499.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 745px) 100vw, 745px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Footage emerged of the rapper hurling a man to the ground and punching the man. Later the man who was attacked followed the rapper and his security guard was hit with a pair of headphones at him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The guard is heard telling a bystander: \u201cHe hit me with the headphones, he cut me on my head \u2013 I could really beat the shit out of him, I don\u2019t even know him, he\u2019s following us. Tell him to leave us alone.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">US President Donald Trump got involved with the case when he had spoken to Sweden&#8217;s prime minister and &#8220;offered to personally vouch for the rapper&#8217;s bail&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A petition received thousands of signatures for his release and Celebrities and fellow rappers supported it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Prosecutor Suneson said in his statement: \u201cIt is worth noting that I have had access to a greater amount of material than that which has previously been available on the internet,\u201d and that \u201cin addition to video material, the injured party\u2019s statements have been supported by witness statements.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A$AP Rocky and three others will stay in custody until trial.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rapper A$AP Rocky has now been charged with assault over a fight in Sweden last month.
