This giant dinosaur was known for roaming around the swaps and inhabited North Africa.<\/p>\n<p>They roamed about in a swamps environment, there has been two Spinosaurus species have been named based on the regions where they were discovered. Spinosaurus means &#8220;spine lizard,&#8221; With recent fossils it is shown that this was the first dinosaur that had the ability to swim\u00a0and likely spent most of its life in the water, according to a study published September 2014 in the journal Science.<\/p>\n<p>In a 2005 study in the Journal of Vertebrate Palaeontology,\u00a0researchers estimated\u00a0<em>Spinosaurus<\/em>\u00a0was 52 to 59 feet (16 to 18 m) long.\u00a0<em>Spinosaurus\u00a0<\/em>had a long and narrow snout at the end of its skull, and a small crest above its eyes.
