Russia’s Khabib Nurmagomedov On Top<\/h2>\n

Reigning lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov returned to action this past weekend against interim titleholder Dustin Poirier and he soon exerted his dominance over his opponent to come out still holding the title.\u00a0 Poirier did give him a fight though, with several flurries of punches, but over time Nurmagomedovs superior strategy of getting his opponent to the fence, grappling and overpowering from on top wore Poirier down.<\/p>\n

Co-Main Event<\/h3>\n

In the co-main event, Paul Felder met up with Edson Barboza, and unlike the first time they met, came out victorious.\u00a0 It was a close-run contest, but Barboza dominating early on, however, fatigue at the end of the first and into the second round, switched the fight in Felder’s favour.<\/p>\n
