Daniel Cormier put his heavyweight belt on the line this past weekend as he faced \u00a0Stipe Miocic.\u00a0 The two had met previously, with Cormier coming away with the victory on that occasion.\u00a0 Tables were turned on Saturday night though when Miocic took the belt from Cormier with a TKO victory in round 4.\u00a0 The two had put on a good performance until that point, with Cormier looking good until he was caught.\u00a0 After the fight Cormier has said he wants some time with his family to discuss his future, and whether or not he wants to continue fighting.\u00a0 Miocic meanwhile is now looking forward to his first title defence \u2013 many expecting that to come as early as late autumn<\/p>\n

The co-main event, featuring fan favourite Nate Diaz and former champion Anthony Pettis could easily have been the main event on any card.\u00a0 Diaz\u2019 relentless approach saw him come out victorious by way of a unanimous decision.\u00a0 After the fight, Pettis disclosed he broke his foot delivering a head kick to Diaz, which will see him sidelined for a good while.\u00a0 Diaz meanwhile called out Jorge Masvidal \u2013 another fight that most fans will be eager to see \u2013 sooner rather than later!<\/p>\n
