\u201cThug\u201d Rose Namajunas came out fighting from the bell of round one in her Strawweight title defence against Jessica Andrade.\u00a0 Namajunas was dominant throughout round one and came out in the same vein for the second, but around halfway through the round, Andrade was able to grapple Namajunas and took her down with a vicious slam, with Namajunas landing on her head, rendering her unconscious upon impact.\u00a0 With this result, Andrade becomes the focus of the women\u2019s rankings, but due to the dominance of her performance many are already calling for a rematch \u2013 and from a spectators perspective, the sooner the better!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The co-main event featured one of the all-time greats in Anderson Silva in a Middleweight match up with Jard Cannonier.\u00a0 The kicks from Cannonier were obviously going to be a major factor in this battle from the first one that was landed.\u00a0 Silva didn\u2019t seem to be able to successfully check the kicks, that just kept coming.\u00a0 Whilst still in the very first round Silva was forced to submit to a TKO due to leg kicks as something appeared to give way in his right leg (subsequent x-rays have shown no breaks).\u00a0 This moves Cannonier up the rankings and he is keen to get back to action as soon as he can, ready to earn himself a title shot.<\/p>\n
